• 4 pounds beef shank with bone marrow
• 2 onions, left whole
• ½ a cabbage head, chopped chunks
• 2 cups string beans, 2″ size
• 2 cups baby carrots
• 6 cloves garlic, smashed
• 6 cups beef broth
• water
• Sea salt and fresh ground pepper for taste
Serves 4-6

In soup pot boil meat in water just enough to cover the meat. After 1st boil, strain out the water of “particles and solids”. Add to the water the beef broth, garlic and onions simmer for one hour. Add vegetables, salt, and pepper and cook for another 30-45 minutes. Food is done when meat is falling off the bone.
